Stereo views of Hurricane Luis on 6 September 1995 from GOES (Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites). The 2-frame animation alternates between GOES-8 and GOES-9 images. The two satellites were 6000 miles apart and 22,500 miles up during the hurricane.

The close-up of the eye of the hurricane was taken at 16:20 UT on 6 September 1995, while the image of the outer areas was taken at 20:41 UT.

To view the stereo images using a pair of red/green stereo glasses, put the red lens on your right eye and the other on your left eye.
